Scope and Contents

This publication consists of two volumes of photographs and the coats of arms of the clergy of Canada from 1657-1933. Volume 1 contains four parts: The Pope, the bishops of Quebec, Ontario and West Canada. Volume 2 contains photos of the clergy from the Maritime Provinces. Each page contains a copy of the coat of arms, a photograph and a short biographical entry.

Unidentified Notebooks Collection

The collection contains four notebooks containing writings of an unidentified priest. Volume one contains contains sermons along with French language exercises. A second book contains a sermon on the life of St. Francis Xavier. A third book is written in Latin and served as a retreat guide. The fourth book contains notes from an 1843 retreat as well as sermon. There are two partial notebooks which contain miscellaneous writings.
